We are in a fantastic position to be able to offer you a range of Sound Baths. From regular intimate sessions, private sound baths for family and friends, to one-off extended and half and full days. Please scroll down to see the range.
What is a sound bath? A sound bath is an immersive experience where you are bathed in sounds, vibrations and frequencies created by a variety of different instruments including; gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, Crystal singing bowls, Shamanic drums and rattles, chimes, bells and many more. All you have to do is lie back and relax! There are numerous benefits from participating in a sound bath; it can help you get into a state of meditation and relaxation, relieve stress and anxiety and much more… see Sound Therapy page for more info.
What makes us different? Not only do we operate with two practitioners, we also incorporate other holistic therapies like Reiki, Crystal Healing, Chakra Balancing & Clearing, Aura Cleansing, grounding, aromatherapy as well as card readings and more into our Sound Baths. We ONLY allow 6 participants per session to fully immerse you in the sound (think 3D surround sound!), in our smaller studio (we think the sound doesn’t ‘get lost’ in it). We also have everything you need from super squishy mats, soft blankets, hypo-allergenic pillows, weighted and unweighted eye masks, etc – you only need to bring yourself! Our studio is also equipped with 6 zero-gravity chairs* for those who struggle with getting up and down – or if you just fancy one! (just let us know in advance – please read the disclaimer at the bottom of the page regarding using the chairs)

Detailed Descriptions of each Sound Bath/Journey
Sound Journey; our Sound Journeys will take you on a wonderful adventure. With the use of specific relaxing meditations and the careful choice of instruments, we will guide you on a magical experience. Each week we’ll take you on a different experience, from the depths of the oceans to the magical forests, the mystical waterfalls to the outer reaches of our galaxies.
Extended Sound Bath; our usual relaxing and restorative Sound bath but extended to 90mins. Feel the vibrations sweep over your body to shake up your energy and help restore peace, calmness and clarity.
Aura/Biofield Cleansing Sound Bath; Get rid of any negative energy clinging to your aura, whether it’s your energy or someone else’s you’ve picked up, and help smooth it out. Leave feeling lighter and brighter. We will work with selenite crystals, known for their cleansing properties, Body Balancing tuning forks to set your aura to the right vibration, and our a range of instruments to give a variety of frequencies, that will all help to do the job!
Chakra Clearing & Balancing Sound Bath; If your Chakras aren’t letting energy flow smoothly, your health and wellbeing may suffer. Let us check your Chakras, (one each month) and set them to the right state to be in for your greatest good. We will clear and balance them using a Pendulum, Otto tuning forks and Colour Therapy to match the Chakra. AND of course our super relaxing and reviving sound bath. Basically, your Chakras won’t know what’s hit them! A Special Spa treatment just for your Chakras.
Sound Bath & Reiki; For those of you that love a bit of Reiki, this is the one for you! Different from our Relax with Reiki which doesn’t include a sound Bath, THIS DOES! A mixture of immersive sounds from our instrument collection AND a guaranteed at least 10mins per person direct Reiki. WARNING- you will feel like an astronaut floating through space!
ONLY ever 6 spaces per session, with 2 practitioners!
What do I wear and bring? Please wear comfy clothes, thick socks, we do provide everything but you may choose to bring your own; any blankets, cushions, pillows, bolsters, eye pillows to make yourself warm and comfortable. Don’t forget a water bottle to stay hydrated – although water is provided.

Where is it?
In Dronfield, sessions are held at Studio 16, Riverside Studios, Mill Lane, Dronfield, S18 2XL This is our dedicated studio, it is an intimate space, quiet location and a beautiful ambiance. Mats, blankets and eye masks are provided. There is plenty of parking too, with a private carpark (details will be emailed to you upon booking). Please be aware there are some steps to access the studio. We’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do!

* the Zero-Gravity Chairs we use within our sessions have a maximum weight limit of up to 100kg/220lb/15.7stone. Exceeding this weight limit may cause personal injury and damage to the chair. Clients using the chairs do so at their own risk and Shala Healing are not responsible for any injuries or accidents caused by clients using the chairs. Shala Healing accept no responsibility or liability for clients using the chairs. If you are at all unsure, please do not use.
